I've been doing a lot of refecting and consequently experiencing a lot of growth pain....something akin to being torn to my core while simultaneously holding consciousness of my heartfelt intention to rise like a phoenix from the ashes. Music has always been my emotional healing balm and so I thought I would share a song I've sung that has become my touchstone. "Nearer Than The Air" was written by the wonderfully talented Michael Gott. I first heard him sing it on his CD titled "Surrender". I performed this song live on March 6, 2011 at the Amazing Grace Spiritual Center in Seattle, WA. My sincere wish is that this song offers you, the listener, comfort, inspiration, hope, or whatever would present itself as your "balm".
This blog is intended to share the discoveries I've made and are making on my spiritual path, what I call my journey of remembering. First off, this is my journey and I have no agenda other than to share with others. We share the journey of this life and I believe a big part of that is the connection we have with each other. The connection exists whether or not we've physically met. I am not a "religious" person but I am "spiritual". I believe in a supreme intelligence and though I call it God, I am not hung up on any particular name used to describe it. I believe we are here to create and to grow as entities. I honor all paths to "God" and I believe there are many. So, with this little snippet of "where I'm coming from" I've started this blog. My sincere wish is that people share with me their thoughts and opinions whether or not they are the same as mine. I think healthy, respectful dialog is a gift we can share with each other.
